The Snow Leopard Trust is a leader in efforts to secure the future of the snow leopard across 12 range countries in South and Central Asia.

They work in 5 key countries that together contain over 75% of the world’s population of wild snow leopards.

Exact numbers are unknown, but there may be as few as 3,920 and probably no more than 6,390 Snow Leopards left in the world.

Among their many efforts the Snow Leopard Trust has worked with local community and political allies in Tost, Mongolia, to protect this prime snow leopard habitat from the threat of mining. In 2010, our efforts helped achieve local protected status for the area. In April 2016, Mongolia’s parliament decided to take Tost under federal protection and make it a national Nature Reserve.

Visit their website to find out how you can support The Snow Leopard Trust in their efforts to protect and preserve these iconic and magnificent, endangered Big Cats. You can donate, adopt a cat, help fund a project or simply buy some of their wonderful cat toys and other products made by local communities that share their habitat.
